Donate or volunteer . The food bank is currently only accepting monetary donations and items from their emergency needs list purchased online and shipped directly to their building (179 1st Avenue, SE, Issaquah, WA 98027).

Give blood

Potential blood donors are exempt from stay-at-home orders in Washington and Oregon, which do not include essential health services. Learn more about Bloodworks NW here.

Check out the list, you may actually have something that is needed and it can be donated through Bloodworks NW.

Volunteer Healthcare Practitioners

The Department of Health is supporting enrollment and activation of emergency volunteer health practitioners for the COVID-19 response. Learn more about this opportunity on the Washington State Department of Health website.

Check on the Elderly

Reach out to the elderly and connect with them to see what they need. Support them with medical, food, household supplies and prayer as they need them. Encourage seniors and others confined to their respective living spaces by getting your kids involved with creating encouragement cards. This can be a fun and meaningful experience for your kids and will encourage seniors. Cards or pictures from the community are encouraged to be sent to Issaquah Nursing and Rehabilitation, at 805 Front Street S., Issaquah, 98027.

Free Courier Service

Offer to pick up food, medicine, and household supplies for neighbors and other community members who are confined to their homes.

Offer Support to Medical Professionals

Offer encouragement to medical professionals and do what you can to lift them up and support them during these times. Offer to provide childcare to medical professionals in your neighborhood if needed. If you want to donate snacks, cards, and treats for healthcare workers on the front lines please email aaron@issaquah.cc to arrange pick up.

Pray

Pray for your community and neighbors through this time. If possible, go for a walk while you pray, it can become a great way to get your kids involved as well. Every time you wash your hands pray for those 20 seconds.
